Legislation and regulations
The CRB’s mandate falls under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017 (CYFSA) and the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA). The CYFSA (Section 152) allows the CRB to conduct reviews requested by youth in custody or detention.
