Effective September 1, 2026, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO) is introducing a new, easier and accessible way to fill out its application and response forms:
The new easy-fill forms are built on a modern, accessible, and user-friendly web-based platform that guides parties through each section of the form and saves their information at every step. Once the party completes the form, the easy-fill platform prompts them to download it as an accessible PDF. The form can then be submitted to the HRTO by email, mail, or courier.
By guiding parties through each section of the form, the new easy-fill format helps ensure forms are completed accurately, reducing errors and saving time for both parties and the HRTO.
PDF versions of the Application and Response forms remain available upon request from the HRTO at HRTO.Registrar@ontario.ca and can be filled out electronically or printed and completed by hand.
The new forms were developed in response to user feedback and designed to align with the needs of parties, creating a more seamless, accessible and user-friendly online experience by removing technical barriers associated with downloading previous forms through web browsers.
