LAT: Operational Update
Revised Licence Appeal Tribunal Rules in Effect

The revised Licence Appeal Tribunal Rules begin to apply as of August 21, 2023.

Each revised Rule is governed by an application provision that sets out when the revisions contained in that particular Rule will come into effect. For more information about the application of the Licence Appeal Tribunal Rules to your file, please review the Application Rules Information Sheet .

More information about the revised Licence Appeal Tribunal Rules will be added to the LAT website in the coming months.

New Practice Directions

The LAT has developed two new Practice Directions that provide more information about the revised Rules for Adjournments and Reconsiderations:

• Practice Direction on Adjournment Requests at the LAT

New and Updated Forms

The LAT has developed new and updated forms for the revised Licence Appeal Tribunal Rules:

New Form

• Removal of Representative Request Form

Updated Forms

• Summons to a Witness Form
• Request for Adjournment Form
• Request for Reconsideration Form
• Notice of Motion Form

Please note that the former version of the Request for Reconsideration Form will continue to apply to any requests for reconsideration related to decisions and orders issued prior to August 21, 2023.
